Lucas Amaral
I’ve been creating artwork for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always drawing something; learning from YouTube tutorials, joining any art club I could, and filling all my free time with whatever creative project I could get my hands on. I even began my own art business, LXA Customs, customizing shoes for clients.
That love for making eventually led me to the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where I studied both Art Education and Illustration. MassArt is where everything clicked for me. I learned how to take all those years of experimenting and turn them into cohesive, intentional collections of artwork.
While teaching art full-time, I kept building on what I learned in my Illustration program and slowly began shaping a professional portfolio geared toward art licensing. It’s been a blend of teaching, creating, and continually growing as an artist.
Today, my dream is to see my artwork out in the world on products, in homes, and bringing joy to the people who connect with it.
